HUSHconcerts is proud to announce its first-ever weekly HUSHcast silent disco event, CURED SUNDAYS @ JONES. Kicking off on Sunday, May 21, Cured Sundays will feature 3 dueling channels of silent disco fun on custom wireless HUSHphones from 2-7 pm on Jones' outdoor urban patio. Unlike most weekly events that repeat a single crew or style of music, Cured Sundays will celebrate the curators, talent buyers, and music aficionados that make the Bay Area such a dynamic place to dance and play. Each week, the channels will be curated by a different Bay Area tastemaker and will feature up to 4 different DJs playing different styles. Jones will also feature a Sunday lunch menu highlighted by cured meats and pickles and a bloody mary bar to die for. As always, Jones will be free to eat and drink but you can reserve your headphones in advance for $11 or get them on site for $15.

Make It Funky
Make It Funky
Inspired by classic funk and disco, Make It Funky is a collective of DJs passionate about independent music, radio, and nightlife.

Make It Funky believes in crowd pleasing engagement, the call and return. We believe that the funk is a vibe that goes beyond the music and beyond the party. The funk is a sort of radiation of positive energy from a person’s body, an insistent rhythm appealing to various carnal qualities. Maybe funk is the difference between a group of people playing music and a party.

Whatever it is, Make It Funky keeps it funky, but with one exception - the Funky train doesn’t go off the tracks. This train goes and goes; a churnin' urn of burnin' funk, slow without a hurry in the world; a steamrolling groove machine that’s still on time, always keeping heads nodding and two feet stepping.
Syd Gris
Syd Gris
Syd is one of the longest running fun creators in the Bay Area dance music and underground arts scene. He's been called a "Renaissance man of the West Coast scene", and with good reason. The founder of the legendary Opulent Temple collective, best known for their premierre sound stage at Burning Man, Board Member and key producer of the San Francisco LovEvolution event (formerly known as LoveFest & Love Parade), founder of Opel Productions, throwing club events and 'parties with purpose' in San Francisco for 10+ years, a child psychologist with a Doctorate in transpersonal psychology, a music producer, blogger on social issues, and of course - a DJ.

On the DJ tip, Syd is one of the West Coast's top talents, consistently being voted in the Top 10 San Francisco Dream Team poll, and playing the biggest events in California party land. Playing a versatile range of electro house breaks, and tech funk,, he's been personally tapped to open and close for the varied likes of Underworld, Moby, Tiesto, Stanton Warriors, Armin Van Burren, and the list goes on. Syd knows what to do in any situation to bring the universal vibe of dance music. His debut single 'Who Are You' on Groove Quest, recently cracked the crowded Top 30 electro house chart on Beatport. His sets are known for walking the fine line between the gritty and the pretty, and he has a musical range seldom seen in party land.

FORTUNE
FORTUNE
For Michael Fortune, music is the dominant influence on his life. Perhaps it began with his first concert, seeing Earth, Wind, & Fire at age five. Maybe it was starting to DJ and produce events in the 2008. Even though Northern California has remained home, his dedication has given him the opportunity to play gigs in countries like Mexico, Argentina and the Turks & Caicos islands and locally across events like Burning Man and Super Hero Street Festival

Michael's eclectic sets bring together elements of funk, disco, soul, house, indie, krautrock, italo, techno, trip-hop, afrobeat, and latin music bound together by an underlying groove. He has shared the bill with forward thinking artists like Animal Collective, Toro y Moi, Washed Out, Marquess Wyatt, The Juan Maclean, Duke Dumont, Diplo, Matrixxman, Slow Magic, Osunlade, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, and the Dirtybird Records crew to name a few.

What hasn't changed is his passion for music that brings people together regardless of genre. Today, Michael handles bookings for the Make It Funky collective and also spends time at BFF.fm, a community radio station based out of the Mission District as Promotions Director and the host of a weekly show.
Kimba
Kimba
Kimba is a fresh face and has been gracing the decks with her warrior-like presence throughout California from her home in San Francisco throughout the West coast from San diego to Seattle and everywhere in between. Kimba brings a sound best described as Elegant Warrior Breaks, Drum&Bass & Techno ~ a fusion of Sweet and Heavy sounds programmed to take you on a journey through every mix. She brings deep dark basslines intertwined with melodic and musical themes to touch a cord in every dancer. Kimba always finds a way to incorporate the musical and instrumental nature of her first influences from Deep House into the heavy forces of bass, breakbeats, drum&bass and even techno. Getting people onto the dancefloor and seeing smiling, dancing people is really what makes her happy to be a DJ.
Kerry Auret
Kerry Auret
DJ Kerry Bo Berry plays from her precious loving soul. She aims to capture the minds and hearts of her audience. Music and dance floors have been her passion since the mid-90s, and she got her start behind the decks in the dust, for Camp Charlie, at Burningman 2013, and is now a resident DJ with the notorious Steampunk Saloon. She loves to play a saucy mix of Indie Dance, nuDisco, House and Deep House, and wants nothing more than to dance with you!!
Motion Potion
Motion Potion
MoPo is a master craftsman and his building material is the world’s most precious commodity: TIME. Consider yourself fortunate If you get a chance catch a Motion Potion DJ set these days. An enormous amount of thought, planning, and scheming has to occur to make them happen. MoPo approaches his shows like a college professor, or a football coach, putting hours of preparation and thought into exactly who will be listening, and how exactly to reach into their souls. Every set is different, and each can unfold in hundreds of different ways, and this intense focus on preparation makes him so versatile, so intense, and so much damn fun. These are “DJ sets” in the classic sense, unfolding like poems with every song a word and every mix or drop a bit of punctuation. Once known as the “DJ for people who hate DJ’s” it would be more accurate to say that this is the DJ for those who love live music.
