On Friday, Novmeber 16 we present our annual ‘House Party : DJ Night’ featuring three headliners who are famed for their reinvention of funk in a DJ context. PEANUT BUTTER WOLF is one of the nation’s top turntablists, and funky beatdiggers. These skills have allowed him to build a veritable empire around his seminal STONESTHROW label, which has launched the careers of a bevy of stars including DAM FUNK & MAYER HAWTHORNE. If Stonesthrow had a clone on the East Coast it would be Fort Knox Recordings a label built around the work of Washington DC band/producers FORT KNOX 5. FK5’s JON H. & THUNDERBALL will play their patented 4-turntable audio-visual DJ set. ALL GOOD FUNK ALLIANCE who just released their new full-length record ‘Jack of All Trades’. Rusty Belicek will play his own blend of gogo-infused funky breaks and potentially steal the show. SFFUNk founder MOtiON POtION will be on the scene as well and the M.O.M.
