Rebirth Brass Band

Spend two amazing nights in the Bay with the Grammy winning, world heavyweight champions of brass band funk, Rebirth Brass Band. Get funky on Friday night in Oakland with the New Orleans natives along with local upstarts Mission Delirium! If it moves you, Mission Delirium will play it – Balkan, Brazilian, Tango, Afro-pop, Middle Eastern, Salsa and more. On Saturday, SunsetSF brings the magic back to the City for a second dose of world class brass band funk from Rebirth at the spectacular Mezzanine. To kick the party off, we welcome esteemed Bay Area Brazilophiles Boca do Rio joined by special guests for a samba-drenched opening set. Oakland natives, The Loyd Family Players will follow with their fierce female percussion and their samba-hiphop-funk-heavy metal fusion that gave them their wild reputation. Rebirth will close the show with two extended sets that will push Mezzanine later than usual into the morning hours around 3am.
